Executive Director | Gratitude House

Dr. Maggie Sullivan brings nearly 30 years of experience in nonprofit and educational leadership. She is the Executive Director of Gratitude House, Inc., an elevated sober-living program for women in St. Louis County. In recovery since 1998, she leads the organization's educational programming, fundraising, marketing, community outreach, and strategic partnerships. She also serves on the Missouri Division of Behavioral Health State Advisory Council and the boards of the Clayton Chamber Collective and the Ferguson Historical Society. Dr. Sullivan attended the University of Florida on an athletic scholarship, earned a Master of Arts from WashU, and a Doctor of Education in Leadership and Learning in Organizations from Vanderbilt University, where her doctoral work focused on learning psychology and behavioral change. She is also the founder of the Gratitude House Institute for Recovery & Behavioral Science, which launches in January 2027.

The mission of Hope Creates is near and dear to her heart because her three children are artists and she is passionate about recovery from substance abuse.
