Jewish Federation of St. Louis \ Director of Community Impact

Scott Berzon has dedicated more than 12 years to the Jewish nonprofit sector in Director and Executive Director roles. In his current position as Director of Community Impact for Jewish Federation of St. Louis, Scott leads efforts in community planning and grantmaking. Prior to his nonprofit work, Scott spent a similar tenure in higher education publishing.

Scott holds an MFA in Poetry from the University of Michigan and is the recipient of various writing awards including the Frank Vincent Memorial Prize, the Meader Family Award, and the Roy W. Cowden Memorial Fellowship. Scott continues to publish his work and teach creative writing to residents of Crown Center for Senior Living and participants of the Jewish Mindfulness Center of St. Louis. He is also pursuing a certification in Poetry Therapy.

Substance abuse and mental health issues are deeply personal subjects for Scott. Serving on the Board of Hope Creates is a meaningful way to blend his commitment to these topics with his passion for the arts.
